Broker Relationship Manager

As a Broker Relationship Manager (BRM) at Ledgebrook, you’ll be at the forefront of our growth strategy. BRMs play a critical role in building and nurturing strong relationships with our wholesale partners, driving market share, and ensuring profitable growth. Join us and be part of a dynamic team shaping the future of specialty insurance! Preferred locations for this role are Chicago or Texas, but we are fully remote and welcome candidates from anywhere.

While the initial responsibilities are outlined below, there’s plenty of room for the role to evolve as we continue to expand and build out the team together.

About the Role

Responsibilities:

  • Manages assigned territory with a focus on profitable growth and monitor performance to achieve company goals with limited to moderate supervision
  • Builds relationships with all levels of wholesale partner locations
  • Capture all sales activities and results from campaigns and broker engagement
  • Utilize data and key insights from internal stakeholders to efficiently manage assigned territory
  • Territory planning that utilizes strategic and tactical components to profitably achieve company goals for current and new product offerings.
  • Build collaborative relationships with internal departments (underwriting/product management/claims/risk control) that assist in identifying opportunities, problem solving and sharing industry intel and best practices
  • Additional responsibilities as needed.

Must haves

  • Minimum three years of distribution insurance experience with a carrier or MGA 
  • Multi line knowledge of commercial insurance products including but not limited to General Liability, Professional Lines & Excess Liability
  • Existing relationships within your territory preferred
  • Demonstrable evidence of proven relationship building, problem solving and decision making.
  • A passion for startup culture and self-motivated 
  • Compelling written and oral communication skills, including negotiation, presentation, and persuasion.  
  • Strong critical thinking and business development skills
  • Ability to travel, including overnight, up to 75%
