He was most recently the Head of Casualty and Business Solutions at BMS Re and was Ledgebrook’s reinsurance broker before joining the Ledgebrook family. He has experience building out reinsurance underwriting businesses to scale quickly and profitably, as Head of U.S. Casualty for Conduit Re ($200M+), and Head of Casualty at Sirius Bermuda ($100M+), before his appointment as Branch Manager of the QBE Re Bermuda office ($50M). Erik cut his teeth on the broking side at both Aon Re and Gallagher Re, and his 50/50 career experience as both a reinsurance broker and underwriter are invaluable. Erik also spent 8 years working in the Bermuda marketplace and looks to bring the Bermuda market to Ledgebrook as our business continues to grow and scale. Erik is a Rutger University Graduate and Olympic Trial Qualifier and was All American at numerous times in his swimming career.
Anthony has been CFO since September 2024, bringing over 20 years of experience to Ledgebrook from a range of financial leadership roles. Previously he was a senior Director in Lazard’s Financial Institutions Group where he worked on transactions with some of the largest global insurance brokers and led the firm’s coverage of Insurtech. He developed a passion for the opportunities presented by the application of technology to the insurance sector, which then led him to Ledgebrook. Prior to banking, he served as a senior official in the UK Treasury. There he worked closely with then-Chancellor Rishi Sunak and led the team responsible for Financial Planning and Analysis for the UK Government, budget negotiation, and the government’s $90B capital expenditure program. He also served as an advisor to the UK Executive Director at the International Monetary Fund. Anthony is a graduate of the University of Oxford and Princeton University. He lives in Washington DC with his wife and two sons.
Scott brings over 13 years of experience in the insurance industry, with a specialization in Construction for the past 8 years. He holds a degree in Insurance and Risk Management from Olivet College and has a comprehensive background in various aspects of the industry, including experience on the broker side, where he worked for a small retail broker. Before entering the insurance field, Scott gained valuable experience in the Construction industry, managing significant projects such as the Book Cadillac project in Detroit, a $175M renovation project in 2007. Most recently, Scott was with Zurich North America, where he successfully led the profitable growth of the Construction business throughout the Midwest region, building a portfolio from the ground up to over $40M in GWP. His expertise includes handling large loss-sensitive national accounts as well as larger middle-market construction clients. Scott holds a Property and Casualty, and Life and Health license for the State of Michigan as well as a CRIS designation. He resides in Howell, Michigan, with his wife and two children.
Ruiqi is an insurance leader driving analytical decision-making, innovative product development, and customer-centered design at Ledgebrook. She brings technical industry knowledge as a credentialed actuary (FCAS), entrepreneurial experience from a fintech startup, and strategic perspective as a former management consultant. She developed a deep understanding of commercial and specialty P&C insurance from her roles at Liberty Mutual and Ironshore and has led a variety of strategic and operational engagements for financial services clients at Deloitte. Ruiqi holds an MBA from University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business and a BA from Bowdoin College. Ruiqi resides in New York City with her husband.
James Lassiter is a highly dedicated professional bringing nearly three-decades of insurance experience to the role. He provides a unique perspective having worked in multiple aspects of the industry, including retail agency operations, E&S underwriting, and as Professional Liability wholesale broker. James’ ability to help find solutions and relate to brokers provides a valuable resource for the wholesale community. James joined Ledgebrook most recently as an underwriting officer at RSUI Group, where he provided leadership as a product line specialist and referral underwriter for numerous classes of Professional Liability. Prior to that, James worked as a wholesale broker with Crump E&S in Southern California, Philadelphia Insurance Companies, and began his career from the ground-up on the retail side. James attended University of California, Davis, and holds RPLU and CPLP designations. As an active member of the wholesale industry association, James serves as a WSIA Education committee volunteer. Outside of work James enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters, traveling, reading, playing tennis, and practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
Adrian started his career as a Management Consultant working across multiple sectors where he developed a passion for understanding how culture impacts organisational success. In 2009 he joined Catlin (currently AXA XL) where he held numerous roles in technology and operations before becoming responsible for creating an operational business in Poland. Adrian was the first employee and after 5 years the office supported all areas and geographies of the re/insurance business and grew to over 475 people. Adrian subsequently became COO of an internal innovation team fuelling his drive to incrementally improve all areas of the insurance value chain whilst reconnecting insurance with a purpose-driven mission. In 2020 he left AXA XL to join a start-up with the aim of using the economics of insurance to improve road safety. After growing that business by 10x in revenue Adrian left to join Ledgebrook as COO. Adrian lives in the UK with a wife and two children.
John has experience within multiple facets of the insurance industry. He began his career in Underwriting within the Excess & Surplus lines space prior to spending time as a Retail Insurance Broker. From there, he's had the opportunity to represent multiple regional and global insurance carriers in various Underwriting and Underwriting Leadership roles throughout his career. John joins Ledgebrook most recently from Liberty Mutual where he led the strategy, development and build out of appetite, risk tolerance and profitability in the Large Casualty space, a portfolio comprising $1Billion in GWP. Previous to that, John led both Industry and Underwriting company wide initiatives during his career at Zurich North America in their Middle Markets segment. He holds dual Bachelor degrees in Risk Management & Insurance and Financial Management with a minor in Business Administration. John holds a MBA in Insurance & Risk Management as well as the CPCU and AAI designations. He's spent time as a CPCU Chapter Past President, but most important to him, he enjoys spending his time with his wife and three children in Michigan.
Nathan started his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers working in the Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory group. He left to return to his true passion of coding and co-founded an accounting SAAS product for law firms. He then spent the better part of the next decade as a principal engineer in a variety of industries, including healthcare and fintech. He helped scale small engineering teams from the tens to the hundreds, and helped craft the architectural vision those companies rely on. Nathan holds his M.S. in Accounting and B.S. in Commerce with a concentration in Finance, both from the University of Virginia. He lives in Birmingham, AL with his wife and two sons.
Prior to entering the world of insurance, Gage used his degree in Applied Mathematics from Harvard to trade exotic commodity derivatives at Barclays. His insurance career started in the Actuarial program at Liberty Mutual where he became the fastest person ever to pass the Casualty Actuarial exams. From there, various management positions culminated in the role of Senior Director of New Mobility Products where he spearheaded growth from <$50M to >$450M in GWP. His unique combination of entrepreneurial drive & deep insurance industry expertise represent the foundational bedrock of Ledgebrook. Gage lives in the Greater Boston area with his wife and two children.
